History & Vision
The foundations of TSRS lie entirely with the well-established "grand-father" of
the industry - Trachtenberg Legal Searching Associates Pty Ltd., trading as
Trachtenberg Strata Reporting Services (TSRS), founded in 1960 by
Michael Trachtenberg to provide specialist para-legal services to the Legal & other professions.
In 1975 Mr Trachtenberg received a commission from the NSW Law Society's
Conveyancing Committee to report on the feasibility & possibility of the physical inspection of, and reporting on strata records and his firm has since then successfully conducted many such inspections for the legal profession, individual purchasers and their mortgagees. Company and Community title records are similarly inspected.
That commission in 1975 has provided the basis for what is now one of NSW’s
most experienced and respected strata records inspection companies.
Founder, Michael Trachtenberg manages the business and has
further commissioned the development of TSRS in acknowledgement of the
opportunity presented by the internet and on-line accessibility of information.
Inspectors working with our firm have been carefully selected and
comprehensively trained; in fact several inspectors are former strata managers,
ensuring a high level of expertise.
Previous services included and still include:
- Investigating & searching titles to land
- Investigation, searching & registration of Companies & Business Names
- Attending to exchanges of contracts and final settlement of real estate and other purchases
- As well as a variety of ancillary conveyancing, property, filing and registration services
TSRS still conducts Old System & Real Property title searches, as well as Purchaser's Index investigations at the NSW Titles Office, including the more complicated investigations to identify ownership of unusual parcels, property boundary issues, roads & laneways etc.
The legal searching section of the business was sold in 1995, in order to focus all
resources into Strata, Company and Community Title inspections and reporting. The firm evolved into Trachtenberg Strata Services and is now known as Trachtenberg Strata Reporting Services (TSRS).
Trachtenberg Strata Reporting Services prides itself in providing timely, accurate and cost-effective strata reports. Our reports are unique in that they provide a thorough, historical, chronological and current perspective of a building, with most reports covering periods greater than 5 years.
TSRS signals the growth in an added and new direction which will ultimately
offer far greater services in addition to the current range available to all
traditional and prospective TSRS clients.
