The Strata Schemes Management Act states that an authority to inspect strata records may be required. Many strata managers do not require an authority; many now do; an authority, if required, then enables TSRS to conduct their inspection. Various forms of authority are requested – some will accept an authority signed by the vendor’s selling agent, some require these to be signed by the vendor or the vendor’s legal representative.

We have compiled a list stating which managers require what type of authority; scroll through our alphabetical list where we reveal their abbreviated requirement/s – eg – VA ( from vendor’s agent), VS (from vendor’s solicitor/conveyancer), V (vendor). Self-managed buildings will always require an authority.

We have not listed the names of all other strata managers – Authorities must be forwarded to TSRS with your request for a report. Once you have obtained an authority it must be forwarded to TSRS as an attachment send to orders@tsrs.com.au; or use our office contact. TSRS must have control of the authority in order for an appointment to be made.
